
SFA Golf Hosts Bill Hill - Crown Classic

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team returns to action Monday as it hosts the Bill Hill - Crown Classic. The Crown Classic is a three-round, two-day tournament that will consist of a 15-team field. The first two rounds will be played Monday beginning at 8:30 a.m. The third and final round will begin Tuesday at 8:15 a.m.
A Look at the Field: The Bill Hill - Crown Classic will consist of 15 talented teams from across the state of Texas and the region, including six Southland Conference teams. The field includes Arkansas-Little Rock, Central Arkansas, McNeese State, Middle Tennessee, Missouri-Kansas City, Missouri State, Nicholls State, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, Texas State, Texas-San Antonio, Texas-Pan American, Wichita State and Baylor (`B' team).
A Look Back at the Moe O'Brien: The Lumberjacks are coming off their best round of the season. SFA shot a final round 290 to finish second overall at the Moe O'Brien Invitational in Lake Charles, La. The Lumberjacks were led by Chad Spencer who shot a five-under 211 for the tournament.
Up Next... The Lumberjacks will be in San Antonio, Texas Monday Oct. 23 to compete in the UTSA Comanche Trace Invitational.
