Lumberjacks Wrap up at Squire Creek Classic

CHOUDRANT, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team closed out competition in 19th place Tuesday at the Louisiana Tech/Squire Creek Classic. SFA shot 938 as a team at the three-round event. The Lumberjacks carded 316s in the first and third round and shot a 306 in Round 2.
Sophomore Chad Spencer led SFA. He shot an 80 in Tuesday's final round to finish the tournament tied for 66th place. Seniors Brian Grossman and Josh Price both finished tied for 87th. Grossman carded a 77 in the final round, and Price shot a final-round 79. Sophomore Tyler Trichell shot 80 in the final round and finished in 96th place.
The Lumberjacks return to action on Nov. 5 when they head to Many, La. for the Battle on the Bend Intercollegiate, their last scheduled event of the fall season.
