Lumberjacks 19th at Squire Creek Classic

CHOUDRANT, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team wrapped up Day 1 of the Louisiana Tech/Squire Creek Classic Monday in 19th place. The Lumberjacks shot 316 in the opening round and 306 in Round 2 to finish the day at 622.
Sophomore Chad Spencer was SFA's top scorer on Monday. He opened with a 75 and followed that up with a 74 in Round 2 to end the day in a tie for 52nd place.
Senior Josh Price carded rounds of 80 and 77, senior Brian Grossman shot 82 and 77, and sophomore Tyler Trichell shot 81 and 78.
The Lumberjacks will wrap up competition in the tournament Tuesday with the third round.
