Ladyjack Netters Open Season at Louisiana Tech

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team will open the 2005 spring season Saturday with a doubleheader in Ruston, La. The Ladyjacks will face Louisiana Tech Saturday at 9 a.m., and return to the court at 2 p.m., to face Grambling State.
A Veteran Squad: The Ladyjacks return all 10 players from last year's youthful Ladyjack squad that finished the season 6-12 (.333) overall, including sophomore Kama Scott who the led the team with a 15-10 (.600) overall record in singles play. Scott also recorded a team-best 16-11 (.593) record in doubles play with teammate Megan Langston.
Up Next ... The Ladyjacks will open the home portion of the schedule on Thursday Feb. 3, when they host Sam Houston State in the SFA/SHSU Super Dual. The Super Dual is a doubleheader between the Ladyjacks and Bearkats that will begin at 9:30 a.m., from the SFA Tennis Courts. The match was originally scheduled to be played during the fall season but was rained out.
