LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Eldridge Lewis scored 10 of his 18 points in the second half to lead McNeese State to a 71-68 victory over Stephen F. Austin Wednesday night.
McNeese (7-15, 3-8 Southland Conference) led for most of the game, holding a 40-30 halftime lead and leading throughout the second half. The Cowboys were up 71-65 when Stephen F. Austin's Antonio Burks hit a 3-pointer as time ran out to bring the Lumberjacks (15-7, 6-5) to within three points.
Edward Garriet added 12 points for the Cowboys on 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point range and Jerrick Oliver had 10 points.
Burks led the Lumberjacks with 21 points while Jasen Gast had 17 and Marcus Clark had 13.
