
Three Former 'Jacks Sign NFL Deals

Anthony Dingle, Lawrence Hamilton and 2001 graduate Vince Walker all have signed free agent contracts with NFL teams following the recently completed 2003 NFL draft.
Dingle, a two-time first team All-Southland Conference selection while with the Lumberjacks, signed a free agent pact with the Tennessee Titans earlier this week. Dingle led the Lumberjacks this past season with 42 receptions for 573 yards and five touchdowns.
Hamilton signed a deal with the Arizona Cardinals after playing only one quarter of the season opener his senior season. Hamilton suffered a broken leg in the first quarter of the opener against Portland State, but was signed by the Cardinals on the strength of 40-yard dash times this offseason. Hamilton wrapped up his SFA career with 87 catches for 1,609 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Walker finished playing for the Lumberjacks following the 2001 season and has spent the past year working on deep snapping skills. He had several discussions with other NFL clubs over the past year, and was signed by the Tennessee Titans as a deep snapper earlier this week. The son of current Lumberjack assistant coach Robert Walker, Vince played tight end for four years for SFA.
