SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) - Terry Conerway hit a 3-pointer with 2 seconds left, lifting Southwest Texas to a 60-58 win over Stephen F. Austin on Saturday night.
Conerway finished with 15 points and Jeremiah Coleman added 12 for the Bobcats (15-10, 10-8 Southland).
Southwest Texas controlled the first half, taking a 31-20 halftime lead. With the Bobcats ahead 51-41, the Stephen F. Austin (18-7, 14-4) went on a 15-3 run to go in front 56-54.
Jasen Gast scored 16 to lead the Lumberjacks, and Stevin Ozier had 12.
The loss to Southwest Texas puts SFA one game back of Sam Houston in the loss column in the race for the Southland Conference regular season title and number one seed in the postseason tournament with only two games remaining.
The 'Jacks close out the regular season with a pair of home games this week, beginning with UL-Monroe Wedensday night at 8:15 p.m.
