The SFA softball team finished out the third day of the LSU Tournament in Baton Rouge, La. with a 1-0 shutout of host team LSU, Sunday afternoon. With the win over the Tigers, SFA nabbed second place honors in the three day event, won by DePaul University.
Crissy Autry picked up her second shutout win of the year as she blanked LSU Sunday afternoon, leading SFA to its first win over a top-10 ranked team under Jennier Poulsen.
Carrie Woydziak scored the 'Jacks only run of the game, scoring from second base on a bunt off the bat of Lee Lara. Woydziak broke from second with the bunt, then sped around third base just beating the throw back to the plate from first base for the game's only run.
In a game that had no bearing on the outcome of the tournament, Baylor avenged Saturday's loss to SFA by handing the 'Jacks an 8-0 setback.
