LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Jason Coleman had 15 points to lead four players in the double figures as McNeese State defeated Stephen F. Austin 63-53 Saturday.
Greg Tucker and Damond Williams scored 13 each and Tom Miley had 11 for McNeese (10-9, 6-6 Southland). Coleman was 5-of-15 from the floor and 3-of-9 in 3-pointers.
Percy Green had 12 points for the Lumberjacks (14-5, 10-2) and Antonio Burks had 11 and Jasen Gast added 10.
The Cowboys led for most of the game, holding a 29-25 halftime advantage. The Cowboys shot 10-of-25 from the field for the half and the Lumberjacks were 7-of-22 from the floor.
The Cowboys held a 39-30 rebounding edge with Miley getting eight rebounds and Williams seven.
For the game, the Cowboys shot 20-of-48 from the field, 5-of-14 from the 3-point range and 18-of-27 from the line.
The Lumberjacks were 16-of-47 from the floor, hit 4-of-10 3-pointers and made 17-of-26 free throws.
McNeese had a 14-9 advantage in assists with Tucker getting six.
