The Northwestern State Demons completed a three game sweep of the SFA softball team Sunday afternoon with a 10 inning, 4-1 win to keep a tight grip on second place in the Southland Conference standings.
SFA pushed the Demons to the limit, allowing only one run through nine innings before Northwestern State pushed across three runs in the top of the tenth inning. NSU scored the first run of the game in the top of the first inning on a pair of hits.
SFA scored its only run of the game in the fourth inning when Northwestern State misplayed a fly ball off the bat of Erica Henrion to center field, and let it drop. A run scored onthe error and it would be all the 'Jacks would get off tough Demon pitching.
