NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team shutout of Centenary, 7-0, Monday afternoon at the SFA Tennis Courts. The Ladyjacks are now 3-1 (.750) on the season.
The Ladyjacks dominated the whole match losing only at No. 1 doubles, 9-8. SFA quickly rebounded to win at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles to take a 1-0 lead over the Ladies. SFA sophomore Jessica Beauchene (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) extended the advantage to 2-0 with her 4-6, 6-4 (10-5) win over Centenary's Mandy Yearwood at No. 1 singles. That would be all the scoring SFA would need as the Ladyjacks shutout Centenary in the final five singles matches.
The Ladyjacks return to action Tuesday against Texas A&M. The match is scheduled to begin at noon in College Station, Texas.
