Ladyjack Netters to Host McNeese State

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team goes in search of its third consecutive victory Wednesday when they take on McNeese State. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., from the SFA tennis courts. The match was rescheduled from a rainout earlier this season. The Ladyjacks enter the match with a 5-2 (.714) overall record and a perfect 2-0 record in Southland Conference action.
The Cowgirls head into the match with a 7-4 (.636) overall mark and a 2-1 (.667) league record. McNeese State has won five of their last six matches.
Sophomore Jessica Beauchene (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) was named Southland Conference player of the week for her performance against Southeastern Louisiana and Nicholls State. Beauchene was 2-0 from her No. 1 singles position and 2-0 with partner Sandra Wolfe (Austin, Texas) at No. 1 doubles, as the Ladyjacks shutout both schools, 7-0.
The Ladyjacks next match will be in Monroe, La., Saturday as they face the Lady Indians. The match is slated to get underway at 2 p.m.
