Golf Battles High Winds And Tough Conditions In San Antonio

The Lumberjack golf team teed off Tuesday morning in bitter cold and trudged through a final round total of 343 to finish in 16th place at the UT-San Antonio Invitational at San Antonio's Oak Hills Country Club.
UT-San Antonio (287-285-324=896), leading the event heading into Tuesday's final 18-holes fell two spots to finish third, with Wichita State (295-284-303=882)winning the team honors. The University of Arkansas (292-291-313+896) finished second.
Scores soared Tuesday in the blustery conditions, and the Lumberjacks were no exception. Jaosn Alexander fired the low round of the day with an 80 to finish in a tie for 78th place with teammate Walt Schroeder.
