The Lumberjacks return to action Tuesday night after a week off for the Thanksgiving holidays. SFA took two days off from practice following last Tuesday?s 101-50 win over LeTourneau. The 'Jacks evened their season mark at 1-1 with the win.
SFA enters the game with Centenary with a chance to find out where they actually stand. The 'Jacks were outmatched in their season opening loss to Texas, and clearly outmanned LeTourneau this past week in the coliseum. The meeting with Centenary will give Danny Kaspar and the 'Jacks a better measuring stick to gauge the progress of the team than either of the first two games.
The team would like nothing more than to continue the offensive productiveness the 'Jacks experienced against LeTourneau. SFA ended the night shooting just over 77 percent from the field (44-57), in cruising to the 51 point win. F Percy Green led SFA with 19 points, connecting on 9 of 11 shots from the floor. F Antonio Burks came off the bench to add 18 points and six rebounds. Burks missed only once from the field, making nine of 10 field goal attempts.
Through the first two games of the season, Kaspar has 10 players averaging at least 14 minutes a night, and eight players averaging at least five points a game. SFA hopes to keep the momentum from last week?s win with a strong showing against a good Centenary team Tuesday night.
