SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) - Jasen Gast and Ben Hunt scored 13 points each to lead five players in double figures as Stephen F. Austin defeated Southwest Texas 72-67 Thursdasy night.
Stephen F. Austin (8-8, 5-4 Southland) pulled ahead early in the first half on a basket by Hunt and led the rest of the way.
Stevin Ozier added 12 points for Stephen F. Austin while Skip Jackson scored 11 and Percy Green added 10.
Marcus Johnson led Southwest Texas (4-13, 2-8) with 15 points. Byron Hobbs had 11 and David Sykes and Clay Click scored 10 for the Bobcats.
Stephen F. Austin shot 54 percent from the field for the game while Southwest Texas shot 42 percent.
