
Rossner Named SFL Player of the Week

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Stephen F. Austin kicker Ryan Rossner has been named the Southland Football League's Special Teams Player of the Week, following his performance in the 'Jacks 30-27, overtime win over Cal State Northridge, Saturday night.
Rossner, a sophomore from Metairie, Louisiana, was three for three on field goal attempts in the game, connecting from 30, 52 and 32-yards. The 52-yarder, a career best, came as time expired at the end of the first half, and cut Cal State Northridge's halftime lead to 17-6.
He also connected from 32-yards out in overtime to give the 'Jacks the win, and was perfect on extra point attempts. Rossner currently leads the Southland Football League in kick scoring, averaging 7.3 points per game, and also leads the league in field goals per game, averaging 2.0 field goals per game.
SFA returns to action this week as they travel to Terre Haute, Indiana to take on Indiana State at 1:30 p.m.
