Meredith Watson Earns All-SLC tennis Honors

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Stephen F. Austin State University senior Meredith Watson (Katy, Tex.) has earned All-Southland Conference honors for her performances during the 2001 regular season.
Watson was named to the 2001 All-SLC second team for singles. This is the second consecutive year she has been named to the All-SLC team. Last year she clinched All-SLC first team singles honors.
Throughout the 2001 season Watson compiled an overall singles record of 13-8 and 9-1 in SLC play. During her career at SFA, which started in 1998, she has accumulated a record of 64-21 overall (as of 4/19/01). Watson has finished every season since 1998 with a winning record.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action Friday, April 20, at 1:00 p.m. in San Antonio, Texas. This will be the Ladyjack's first match of the Southland Conference Tennis Championship. They will be facing Louisiana-Monroe.
