Brown Leads The Ladyjacks In Win Over McNeese State

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjack basketball team defeated the McNeese State Cowgirls 82-73. The Ladyjack have now won 17 games consecutively overall and 27 at home. The Ladyjacks are the "Winningest Team in Texas at Home."
The Ladyjacks were led by senior, forward Patricia Brown (Houston, TX.). Brown scored 15 points tonight. SHe shot .714 (5-7) from the field and .833 (5-6) from the free-throw line. Brown has scored 160 points overall this season for the Ladyjacks.
Brown was helped by her teammate Latisha Prater (Cotton Port, LA.) as she accumulated a career and season high 14 rebounds against the Cowgirls. She had seven offensive and defensive rebounds. Prater has been leading her team in rebounding this season as she has 127 total rebounds .
Three other Ladyjacks scored in double figures. These Ladyjacks included junior, guard Lashinda Winters (Houston, TX.) with 14, junior, forward Chaquita Dilworth (Temple, TX.) with 11 and junior, forward Yolanda Grant (Flatonia, TX.) with 10 points.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action Sunday, February 18, at 2:00 PM in Nacogdoches. They will face the University of California-Santa Barbara Gouchos.
