'Jacks Back On The Links This Weekend

The Stephen F. Austin golf team returns to the course this week as they play the first of seven scheduled spring tournaments at the Udamon Classic hosted by Southwest Texas State University at the Victoria Country Club in Victoria. The 'Jacks will play a practice round Sunday with 36-holes scheduled for Monday and a final 18-holes planned Tuesday.
The 'Jacks placed eighth out of 17 teams at the event last year, with Tim Speichert posting a top 10 finish. Speichert shot rounds of 70-76-74 to finish at four over par, 220 for the 54-hole event. Speichert returns along with Trey Schroeder and Andy Bell this week as they begin the spring season.
SFA returns the following week for the UTSA Intercollegiate at Oak Hill Country Club in San Antonio on February 25-27, before taking a few weeks off.
