Southeastern Louisiana, McNeese State, Nicholls State, Texas-San Antonio and Louisiana-Monroe managed only one win each. Stephen F. Austin didn't have the opportunity to play because of rain.
SLU tops the standings at 3-1 after picking up its third straight victory, a 7-0 blanking of Alcorn State. Freshman Yessica Rizelia defeated ASU's Dana Childs in straight sets 6-0, 6-0, to improve her No. 4 singles record to 4-0 on the year.
McNeese State split its matches with Centenary and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Junior Yvonne Bresler remains undefeated after earning wins at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.
Although Lamar dropped a pair in home-opening play, sophomore Catalina Paz won both her matches at No. 2 singles against TAMU-CC and North Texas. Paz was the lone bright spot for the Lady Cardinals against UNT, winning 7-5, 6-3 over Melissa Hodges.

The tandem of Brandi Mathews and Katy Wallace combined for an 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles, but otherwise Northwestern State was overwhelmed by Louisiana-Lafayette Saturday. The Demons again were dominated 7-0, this time by New Orleans Sunday afternoon.
