Lumberjack Golf Finishes Ninth at UL-Monroe Event

MONROE, Louisiana -- The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team fired rounds of 299-300-299 to finish in ninth place Tuesday at the UL-Monroe Invitational held at Bayou DeSaird Country Club in Monroe, Louisiana.
Andy Bell, a senior from Austin led the way for the `Jacks with rounds of 72-71-78 for his first top 20 finish as a Lumberjack. Bell tied for 15th at five over par, 221.
Only six shots separated the `Jacks from fourth place in the event.
Pflugerville senior Trey Schroeder shot rounds of 76-75-74 to finish in a tie for thirtieth, and Tim Speichert finished two spots back in a tie for 32nd with rounds of 75-76-75.
