Lumberjack Golf Finishes Ninth

MONROE, Louisiana -- The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team fired rounds of 299-300-299 to finish in ninth place today at the UL-Monroe Invitational held at Bayou DeSaird Country Club in Monroe, Louisiana.
Andy Bell, a senior from Austin led the way for the `Jacks with rounds of 72-71-78 for his first top 20 finish as a Lumberjack. Bell tied for 15th at five over par, 221.
Only six shots separated the `Jacks from fourth place in the event. One shot separated each team from fourth to ninth place after the three round event.
SFA returns to action next week at the Baylor Invitational in Waco.
