Rain Washes Out Second Round of SFA Crown Classic

Rains washed out the second round of the scheduled 54-hole SFA Crown Classic Monday, held at Lufkin's Crown Colony Country Club.
Seventeen teams of collegiate golfers finished the morning round just before the rains began.
The teams will return Tuesday to play an 18-hole final round with tee times beginning at 7:45 a.m. of the first and tenth tees.
The University of Texas-Arlington leads the event after round one, firing a team total 291 to lead the tournament by two strokes over second place Arkansas-Little Rock. Sam Houston State is in third place with a one round total oof 301.
The Lumberjacks find themselves in fourteenth place following a disappointing first round of 312. Trey Schroeder led the way for SFA, firing a first round three over par, 75.
