- Title:
- Assistant Coach
Coach Rodriguez is entering her first season as the assistant coach for SFA Beach Volleyball.
Rodriguez brings a diverse amount of personal and professional experience to the program. She attended SDSU Indoor Training camps and played elite club volleyball in middle school and high school. Rodriguez was awarded with MVP of the season throughout her middle school and high school years. During her senior year, events led her to Dallas, Texas. After her last high school game, Dallas morning news reported that Rodriguez led Thomas Jefferson High School to a bi-district championship as the starting setter and leading the team in kills as the outside hitter.
Rodriguez has been a club volleyball assistant and head coach across the North Texas Region over the past 10 years, working with ages 11-18. She has worked with several athletes in the Dallas area, offering camps, clinics, and private lessons for Beach and Indoor volleyball players. Coach Rodriguez prides herself on pushing her athletes to be the best version of themselves both on and off the court. She hopes that sharing her love and passion for the game inspires young athletes to reach new heights in their game and find their happiness within them.
Rodriguez enjoys spending time with her 3.5 year old Toy Australian Shepherd, Maggie and her husband, Jorge. Since meeting her husband, our very own Volunteer Assistant, Rachel’s knowledge and passion for beach volleyball has grown even more. When they are not working or coaching, they spend time traveling to various AVP events and participate in adult tournaments across north Dallas, Florida, California, Colorado, Arizona and Mexico.
