Anika Collins returns to the Piney Woods just three years after graduating from SFA in 2021. During her time away from SFA, Collins has been able to gain valuable knowledge and experience at both an Ivy league and Power 5 school that will be extremely valuable to the Ladyjacks program and Coach Bishop.
During her time at SFA, Collins became a student manager for the Ladyjacks during her sophomore year. After just one season as a student manager, Collins was immediately promoted to head manager for her junior and senior years at SFA by Coach Kellogg and was able to work closely with Coach Kellogg, Coach Bishop, and former SFA Director of Basketball Operations Kayla Scott.
After graduating from SFA in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Business, Collins was hired as an Account Representative for Princeton University Conference and Event Services Department, which allowed her to strengthen a number of skills including event planning by working at a prestigious Ivy league university in Princeton.
After a year at Princeton, Collins then attended the University of Arizona to obtain a master’s degree and served as a graduate assistant for the Wildcats and was reunited with Kayla Scott. Collins was able to work closely side by side with Scott once more and learned valuable information on how to be a Director of Basketball Operations at a Power 5 level school. While attending Arizona, Anika received a graduate certificate in Global Health and Development.
