Trajan Wesley enters his second season as an assistant coach at Stephen F. Austin after helping guide the Lumberjacks to the 2025-26 Southland Conference regular-season championship and an NIT berth.
In Wesley's first season as a full-time Division I assistant, SFA posted a 28-6 record and went 20-2 in conference action, setting program and Southland records for league victories. The Lumberjacks advanced to the Southland Tournament championship game and earned three major player awards. SFA averaged 76.6 points per game, made 302 three-pointers and held opponents to 29.9 percent from beyond the arc.
Prior to SFA, he spent the 2024-25 season with current SFA head coach Matt Braeuer at Texas Tech University. Wesley served two seasons with the Red Raiders basketball program in a graduate assistant role.A Navasota, Texas native, Wesley played four seasons at Louisiana from 2018-22 before finishing his collegiate career at Prairie View A&M during the 2022-23 season. He would play in 94 games during his collegiate career.
Prior to his collegiate playing days, Wesley prepped at Cypress Falls High School where he was Class 6A All-State selection and helped lead his team to the Class 6A State Championship in 2017 during his junior year.
Wesley earned his bachelor's degree in business management from Louisiana in 2022 and earned his master's degree from Texas Tech in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2025.
