
Lumberjacks Finish Among Top 115 in Learfield Directors' Cup Standings

SFA leads Southland, ranks 18th among FCS schools with 152.0 total points
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Stephen F. Austin Athletics concluded a dominant 2025-26 athletic season among the top 115 Division I programs in the final Learfield Directors' Cup standings. The Lumberjacks totaled 152.0 points, the fifth-most ever by the department, while its 111th-place finish is the sixth-highest ever. The Southland Conference Commissioner's Cup champs led the league in the standings and ranked 18th among all FCS programs; 11th among non-Ivy League institutions.
SFA finished 97 points better than the next closest Southland foe which was Southeastern Louisiana with 55 points.
Powering the Jacks to the league's overall cup championship was the top results in both the men's and women's all-sports trophy standings. Among the Learfield Directors' Cup standings, the Jacks produced the following point totals:
SFA FB: 70 points
SFA MXC: 27 points
SFA VB: 25 points
SFA WBB: 5 points
SFA WTEN: 25 points
Nineteen total sports are counted for the final standings including the five countable sports (men's and women's basketball, baseball, women's soccer and women's volleyball), and the next highest 14 (max.) sports scored for each institution, regardless of gender.
