#ProJacks Report: Walkup, Olympiacos Add Greek League Title, Templeton Notches First Pro Win

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Thomas Walkup, recent EuroLeague champ, added another title in his impressive overseas career as Olympiacos won the Greek Basket League for the second-straight season taking down bitter rival Panathinaikos with an 89-85 game five victory. Walkup capped his 24-game Greek League effort averaging nearly 20 minutes per game, 5.8 points, 6.2 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals per. It was previously reported that he will skip international competition to rehab a lingering back injury, while preparing for the 2026-27 EuroLeague and Greek Basket League seasons.
Cody Templeton has seen action in five games with the Milwaukee Milkmen of the American Association since his May 27 signing. Templeton picked up his first pro victory against the Chicago Dogs on June 12. He has totaled 10.1 innings, all in relief, with seven strikeouts. Templeton returns to his native Texas in late July when the Milkmen meet East Division foe Cleburne Railroaders for a six-game series from July 28 through August 2.
Willie Jefferson recorded two tackles and a sack, the 78th of his CFL career, in Winnipeg's 37-27 Week 2 loss to Hamilton. Jefferson entered the 2026 campaign second all-time in career knockdowns and six shy of 100 for his career, and is three sacks shy of becoming just the fourth Blue Bomber to reach 50 all-time in club history. Will Vest appeared on Monday and Tuesday for Detroit totaling 1.2 innings over back-to-back days in the Tigers' series at Houston. This season, Vest has collected one save and six holds and holds a 2-4 record. The Tigers are scheduled for a three-game series against the Rangers in Arlington on July 2-5. Kevon Harris averaged 11.3 points, the club's third-leading scorer, 3.1 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 23 games played this past season with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association. He averaged 18.1 minutes per game and shot nearly 40% from three-point range with an overall shooting clip of 45.6%. The small forward dropped a season-high 28 points against the Jiangsu Dragons in a January 20 road win. He finished the '25-26 season, after singing with the squad in December, with 14 double-figure scoring games, two 20+ point efforts and a 17-point, four-rebound and four-assist performance in his CBA debut on Christmas Eve against the Qingdao Eagles.

NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE: Recent Minnesota Vikings draft pick Charles Demmings is closing out organized team activities which are set to conclude on Thursday, June 18. John Franklin-Myers, who preps for his eighth NFL season and first with the Tennessee Titans just concluded OTAs. Xavier Gipson played in seven games across three teams in 2025 and signed to the New York Giants' active roster from the practice squad on January 3. Gipson and the G-Men have concluded OTAs and mandatory minicamps for the summer.
NFL SCHEDULE NOTES: The Vikings and Giants open preseason action on August 15 and Minnesota travels to New Orleans on October 11. The Titans and the Giants meet Week 3; Tennessee plays at Dallas on November 22 and will close out the regular season in Houston. The Giants make two trips to Texas, the first on October 25 for a Week 7 tilt at Houston and on January 3 against NFC East rival Dallas.
