Four Lumberjacks Compete at NCAA West First Round

COLLEGE STATION, Texas- Jarvis Anderson, Bryson Williams, Hunter Murphy, and Nicholas Grullon represented Stephen F. Austin track and field at the NCAA First Round hosted by Texas A&M.
On Wednesday night, Anderson got the group started by running in the 400-meter hurdles. Anderson finished 24th overall with a time of 51.16 and just missed the cut off to go to the region finals by .04 seconds.
On Friday all four athletes competed. Williams finished 16th overall in the triple jump with a mark of 15.81 meters and missed qualifying for Nationals by .09 meters. Anderson finished in 45th with a mark of 13.74 meters.
Murphy and Grullon followed them up in the high jump. Murphy finished in 15th with a personal best of 2.14 meters and missed qualifying for Nationals by .03 meters. Grullon finished in 43rd with a mark of 2.04 meters.
