Three ‘Jacks Named to Southland All-Academic Team

FRISCO, Texas- The Southland Conference announced the 2025 Track and Field All-Academic team, Wednesday afternoon.
Freshman Valentine Jemutai earned a spot on the All-Academic team after a tremendous campaign where she won gold in the 10,000 M at the Southland Outdoor Championships. She also finished second in the 5000 at the Victor Lopez Classic and third in the 3000 at the Howie Ryan Invitational.
On the men's side, junior Semion Brodski earned a spot on the All-Academic team with a 3.97 GPA and after a third-place finish in the heptathlon at the Southland Indoor Championships. Brodski is joined on the All-Academic team by teammate Riley Elliott who earned bronze in the 1500 at the Southland Outdoor Championships and won gold in the 1500 at the Carl Kight Invitational and the Clyde Hart Classic.
