Lumberjacks Cross Country Announces 2024 Schedule

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Men's and Women's cross-country team announced their 2024 Fall schedule today.
The Lumberjacks open their season in Lake Charles, Louisiana at the McNeese Season Opener on Friday, August 30th at 5:30 P.M.
"We designed this year's schedule to allow our younger athletes to have a few races to feel out the new longer race distances, whilst we crescendo with a very competitive second half of the season", said SFA head coach Rob Hansen. "Both of our groups are improving, and we're excited about the opportunities upon our return to the Southland Conference."
The following week the Lumberjacks make a quick trip up to Tyler, Texas to the UT-Tyler XC Opener on Saturday, September 7th at 7:30 A.M.
The team travels to Houston, Texas to compete in the Rice Invitational on Friday, September 13th at 5:30 P.M.
On Friday, September 27th, the Lumberjacks travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas to run in the Chile Pepper Invitational at 5:30 P.M.
The Lumberjacks round out their regular season on Friday, October 18th in College Station, Texas at the Arturo Barrios Invitational at 8:00 A.M.
The team begins their postseason on November 1st in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Southland Conference Championship beginning at 9:00 A.M.
The NCAA South Central Regional will be hosted in College Station, Texas on Friday November 15th followed by the NCAA National Championships in Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday November 23rd.
