NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks have added to their strong spring signing class.  Kyle Keller and SFA signed Keith Lamar this week, adding a prolific forward to the roster.  This is Stephen F. Austin's third highly touted addition this spring.Â
Â
Lamar is joining the Lumberjacks program after spending the past year at Florida A&M University. Lamar is known as a prolific scorer with deep range. The 6-5, 210-pound forward averaged 13.8 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, and shot 42.4% from the 3-point range with 1.6 makes per game during his only season year at Florida A&M.Â
Â
"Keith is someone we have known for quite a long time," said Kyle Keller, men's head basketball coach. "We recruited him back in high school and he comes from the ultra-successful AAU program where former Lumberjacks Kevon Harris and Davonte Fitzgerald played. He is truly a multi-dimensional scorer that has range well beyond the 3-point line. He fills a need on our roster as we continue to build for the 2024-25 season."
Â
Prior to his time at Florida A&M, he spent a season at South Georgia State in Douglas, GA. During his time there, he led South Georgia State to a NJCAA Southeast Region Title. Lamar began his college career at Stetson, where he spent his first two years.Â
Â
Before his time at Stetson, Lamar played at Eagle's Landing High School in McDonough, GA. During his senior season, he led his team to a 25-4 record. The Stockbridge, Georgia native earned first-team all-region honors, second team all-state honors, and second-team Southside all-metro while averaging 19 points per game during that season. During his junior year, he led his team to a 23-5 record and a region championship while averaging 10 points per game.Â
