
Jordan Harrison Records Her 16th Game with Double Figures as Ladyjacks Dominate Trailblazers

ST. GEORGE, Utah- Stephen F. Austin defeated Utah Tech, 72-56 Thursday night. SFA improves to 22-4 (12-2 WAC) while UTU falls to 15-9 (7-6 WAC).
The Ladyjacks jumped out to a 4-0 lead early in the first quarter. Utah Tech quickly took the lead back and the teams traded baskets for most of the quarter, until Tyler McCliment-Call nailed her fourth three-pointer of the quarter. Her three put the Ladyjacks up 24-18 going into the first quarter break. The Trailblazers started the second quarter on a 9-2 run to take the lead back. SFA then finished the half on an 18-6 spurt and went into halftime with a double-digit lead after Avery Vansickle sunk a three pointer with under a minute left. In the third quarter, the Ladyjacks hovered around a 15-point lead and went into the fourth with a 14-point lead, 59-45. SFA's lead reached the 20-point mark with 6:15 left in the game off a layup from Aiyana Johnson. The Ladyjacks ended up winning the game by 16 points.
SFA led UTU in most major stat categories including; points in the paint (28-22), points off turnovers (21-13), second chance points (21-7), bench points (17-9), three-point percentage (32.3-29.6) and free throw percentage (100.0-75.0). Jordan Harrison led the team with 19 points, followed by Johnson with 16 and McCliment-Call with 12. Johnson also recorded second double-double of the season with 10 rebounds, which was one rebound behind Avery Brittingham who grabbed 11. Harrison, Brittingham, and Destini Lombard each led the team with three assists. Harrison, Brittingham, and Johnson went a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line.
This sets up a No. 1 vs No. 2 matchup in Cedar City on Saturday, February 18th as the Ladyjack's Utah swing continues at Southern Utah. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. central time.
