Beach Volleyball's Iris Fletcher and Corin Evans Named to 2021 All-Southland Conference Academic Team

FRISCO, Texas – Two Ladyjacks, Iris Fletcher and Corin Evans, have been named to the 2021 Southland Conference All-Academic Team, per the league office.
While Iris Fletcher impressively posted a 4.0 GPA as Kinesiology major at SFA during her freshman year, she has also been a consistent force for the Ladyjacks on the court this season. She completed the year with a 14-9 combined record in the 1's and 2's position, featured by a 10-8 record at the 1 slot and 4-1 at the 2's. In Fletcher's last 10 matches, she posted a 7-3 record with Olivia Unnasch, where the pair went 8-5 at the No. 1 spot. The two notched the best record overall on the team as well.
The second Ladyjack slated on the 2021 Southland Conference All-Academic Team is senior Corin Evans. Evans garnered a 3.97 GPA during her undergrad at SFA majoring in Secondary Education, collecting a 4.0 while attaining her Master's degree. She finished this year with an 11-13 record playing in the 1 and 2 positions, where she was 4-2 at the 2's with Xariah Williams. In the SLC tournament in April, she posted a 3-1 record with wins over Southeastern Louisiana, and Houston Baptist twice. Evans also received the 2020 All-Academic Team Award last year.
