2021 Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championship Central
FRISCO, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack Beach Volleyball team will head into the 2021 Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championship as the No. 3 seed, per a conference release on Wednesday. The 'Jacks look to make its first mark in the SFA Beach Volleyball history book, completing its first ever season this year, plus a postseason berth. SFA finished the season with an 8-12 record, snagging four conference victories.
The Ladyjacks are the No. 39 rated team in the Pablo College Volleyball rankings, only behind No. 1 seed Texas A&M Corpus Christi at No. 27.
No. 3 seed Houston Baptist secured the No. 31 slot in Pablo, followed by No. 4 seed Central Arkansas (No. 40 in Pablo), No. 5 seed New Orleans (No. 47 in Pablo), and No. 6 seed Southeastern Louisiana (No. 70).
The tournament will officially begin on Friday, April 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in Corpus Christi with the 'Jacks scheduled to face No. 6 seed Southeastern Louisiana on Friday at 12:00 p.m. During the regular season, SFA defeated the Lady Lions twice. This will be a six-team double-elimination format.
