
RV Ladyjacks Overpower Privateers, 105-36; 9-0 in SLC Play

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana --
RV Stephen F. Austin dominated New Orleans for the second time this season, steering away from the Kiefer Lakefront Arena Saturday night, 105-36. The Ladyjacks improve to 17-2, 9-0 in Southland Conference play. SFA has won 12 straight, and have not lost a game since mid-December.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Ladyjacks came out of the gate hot with a 23-6 first quarter, converting on 7 of its first 11 field goals and sinking 9 of 11 free throws. The second quarter was similar for visiting SFA, as the Ladyjacks put together a 19-0 run in the first 4:45 and drained six three's in the quarter. SFA closed out the first half in dominating fashion, 58-14. The Ladyjacks finished the game with a 56.3 shooting percentage, including 12 made three-pointers on the outing.
COMMANDING NUMBERS
SFA controlled the numbers game, converting 22 of UNO's turnovers into 37 points on the other end. The Ladyjacks won the points in the paint battle 46-12, along with fast break points, 29-2. SFA's bench contributed 42 points in tonight's victory, and totaled 14 steals as a team.
LEADERS
Pilgrim's Player of the Game Avery Brittingham finished with an impressive statline of 14 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Marissa Banfield sunk five 3's on the night plus another bucket for 17 points, and Aiyana Johnson chipped in 14 points. Stephanie Visscher and Tasharian Robinson had 12 each.
