Ladyjacks Receive National Preseason Recognition

NACOGDOCHES, Texas --
The SFA Ladyjacks received national preseason recognition this week in the USA TODAY/WBCA NCAA Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll and CollegeInsider.com Mid Major Top 25 Poll ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, coming off a historic season in 2020-21.
The 'Jacks snagged 16 votes in the USA TODAY/WBCA poll, while being ranked No. 7 in the Mid Major Top 25 with 527 votes.
Across all programs in the Western Athletic Conference, SFA is the lone squad to secure WBCA votes, as well as being one of two teams from the league to claim a spot in the Mid Major Top 25 joined by California Baptist at No. 9.
The 2021-22 slate is rapidly approaching, as the Ladyjacks will begin its first season in the Western Athletic Conference. Non-conference play will start on the road next Tuesday at UTSA, followed by a matchup with Houston on Friday, November 12th in The Sawmill.
