
Ladyjacks Record Dominant 91-Point Victory

The SFA women's basketball team took down Arlington Baptist 137-46 inside William R. Johnson Colliseum Saturday afternoon. The win was the largest and highest scoring in the coach Mark Kellogg era.
The 'Jacks jumped out to a quick 24-0 lead in just over five minutes of game time. They kept pouring it on and found themselves heading into the break with a 68-17 advantage.
SFA dominated in every aspect of the game, shooting 55% from the floor and 37% from beyond the arc. They scored 55 points off of 35 forced turnovers and 88 total points on fast breaks. The home team also controlled the paint, outscoring Arlington Baptist 88-32 inside.
Nine Ladyjacks reached double-digits in scoring in the blowout victory, including 16 from Avery Brittingham. Every member of the team got involved as 77 of the 'Jacks 137 points came off the bench. Tyler McCliment-Call went 6-10 from the floor for 14 points, setting an early career-high in a Ladyjack uniform while also adding 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Destini Lombard and Zoe Nelson also made their marks wearing the purple and white, scoring 14 and 10 respectively. Nelson collected a team-high 8 rebounds as well.
The 'Jacks will look to build on this victory as they head to Katy for a three-game tournament against New Mexico, Ball State and Louisiana Monroe. The first game tips off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 26th against the Lobos of New Mexico.
