
SFA Soccer Announces 2021 Signees

Lumberjack Soccer announced five new members for the 2022 campaign Wednesday. The team is looking to build on an impressive 2021 campaign led by coach Tony Minatta which saw the 'Jacks take home the regular season WAC title.
Joining the 'Jacks from Texarkana, Texas is Logan Pilgreen. The 6-0 goalkeeper was a three-year starter and two-year captain at Texas High. She earned second team all-district honors her freshman year, an honorable mention her sophomore year, and first team honors her junior year before taking early graduation. She was also a member of Texarkana Soccer Club for eight years and FC Dallas East Texas for two years.
Another keeper joining in the Jacks is Bradley Redd from Houston, Texas. The 5-7 shot-stopper is on her third season starting for Houston Christian High School. Played four seasons at club level with Challenge. She is very versatile as plays in the field as well for her school while setting assist records.
Ella Morgan is joining the Lumberjacks from Allen, Texas. She is a 5-6 holding midfielder with plenty of pace to shield the backline. A track athlete at Allen High School, Morgan competed in the 300M hurdles, 400M, the 4x400M relay. She made regionals on the relay team her freshman year. She played club soccer with DKSC-ECNL. She earned second team All-Texas honors in 2021.
Emma Saldana is a 5-8 center back from Friendswood, Texas. A four-year starter for Friendswood High School, Saldana helped lead her team to a third-placed finish last season while also winning district in every season as a member of the team. She is also decorated with individual awards coming out of high school, winning district newcomer of the year, district MVP, district defensive player of the years as well as first team all-state defender. She played her club Soccer for Challenge 03.
Rounding out Minatta's 2021 class is Lilly Dodson, the 5-6 defender out of Witchita Falls, Texas. A three-year starter at Rider High School, Dodson bagged 13 goals in two seasons. She started her freshman year as a forward before transitioning to the backline. She earned first team all-district in 2021. She helped lead her team to two district and regional championships, including a crucial goal in a playoff match against Amarillo Caprock in 2019. In addition to high school soccer, she's been a member of Liverpool FC, Oklahoma Energy, and the D'Feeters at club level.
