NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Former SFA basketball great Kevon Harris' professional basketball journey continued on Monday when the Georgia native was drafted 11th overall in the 2020-21 NBA G-League Draft by Raptors905, the affiliate of the NBA's Toronto Raptors franchise. The Raptors have had recent success in the G-League, having won the league's title in 2017 and made the playoffs in 2018 and 2019 as well.
Harris ended his SFA career as the program's Division I leader in points scored during his career, notching a grand total of 1,833 points during his time in a Lumberjack uniform. He appeared in 127 games for the Lumberjacks, including all 31 for the 'Jacks during their stellar 28-3 season in 2019-20, which included a 26-point game against top-ranked Duke in a Lumberjack victory. The 6'6 wing was labeled an "athletic, energetic swingman that excels at attacking the basket to garner scores" in a draft profile on nbascoutinglive.com. Harris had previously been signed by the reigning NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers to join their team training camp back in November.
