SFA Athletics Announces Partnership with World-Renowned Brand Specialist Jeremy Darlow

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin Athletics made a statement to its current and future student-athletes Tuesday with the announcement of a partnership with world-renowned branding specialist Jeremy Darlow. The partnership will assist SFA student-athletes build a personal brand that transcends their playing career. Darlow is the author of "Brands Win Championships", "The Darlow Rules" and "Athletes Are Brands Too".
We are extremely excited about this partnership with Jeremy and the opportunity for our student-athletes", said SFA Director of Athletics Ryan Ivey. "This collaboration will provide our student-athletes with real-life, practical information that will help set them up for their future success by having the opportunity to partner with the leader on brand management."
With this partnership, all of SFA's student-athletes will have access to The DARLOW Rules, an online course that features short, easy to understand video-based lessons designed to teach student-athletes from every sport the fundamentals of brand development and communication.
SFA becomes the first Southland Conference institution to form a partnership with Darlow, whose resume features schools like Notre Dame, Michigan, Troy and UCLA; athletes that include Aaron Rodgers, Kris Bryant, and Lionel Messi; and celebrities such as Snoop Dogg.
By the end of the course, SFA's student-athletes will have built their own brand marketing plan, employing the same planning techniques used by Darlow over the course of his extensive career in sports marketing.
