Dave Campbell Texas Basketball All-Texas Teams Release
NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Sophomore guard Stephanie Visscher was named one of the best players in Texas as part of the Dave Campbell Texas Basketball All-Texas Teams, per a release in March. Visscher was selected to the All-Texas Third Team, one of two Southland athletes to make the All-Texas First, Second or Third Team.
Visscher had another stellar season for the Ladyjacks, posting averages of 13.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game on 50.7 shooting from the field and 34.8 percent from beyond the arc. A solid two-way player for the 'Jacks, Visscher helped guide the Ladyjacks to a 23-6 record in the regular season, securing a double bye in the Southland Conference Tournament. The Ladyjacks led the Southland in scoring defense (54.0) and ranked third in scoring offense (69.4), thanks in large part to the play of Visscher. The Lulea, Sweden native was tabbed as a Southland Conference First Team player, but was inexplicably missing from the league's All-Defensive Team, after being on that team last season.
