Men's Basketball Set to Face No. 2/2 Baylor in Waco on Wednesday Night

NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- In the most recent adjustment to the 2020-21 SFA men's basketball schedule, SFA Athletics announced on Tuesday afternoon the addition of a non-conference tilt against No. 2/2 Baylor on Wednesday, December 9. The contest, which will be SFA's second matchup against the Bears in the past three seasons, is set for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off inside the Ferrell Center.
SFA and Baylor have met a total of 16 times in the series, which dates back to 1932. The series is split at 8-8 following SFA's dramatic victory in Waco during the 2018-19 season, which came off of a Shannon Bogues layup at the buzzer.
Baylor is ranked No.2 in both the AP Top 25 Poll as well as the Coaches Poll heading into the matchup, and is 3-0 on the season thanks to wins over Louisiana-Lafayette, Washington and No. 5 Illinois. The Bears are averaging 93.3 points per game this season, thanks to a trio of 15+ point-per-game scorers. In addition to being tabbed as Big 12 favorites in the league's preseason poll, the Bears were picked No.1 nationally in the preseason coaches poll.
