
Alyssa Mayfield Named College Sports Madness Mid-Major Conference Player of the Week for Southland Conference

College Sports Madness announced its National and Conference Players of the Week Monday morning with Senior Guard Alyssa Mayfield making an appearance as the Madness Mid-Major Conference Player of the Week representing the Southland Conference.
Each Monday, College Sports Madness recognizes student-athletes who have had the greatest impact to their team from each conference and on a national basis.
Mayfield's breakout week for the Ladyjacks (7-2) featured a career-high 19 points (7-12 FG) in a career-high 29 minutes in a 67-54 win at Auburn Wednesday night. On Saturday, Mayfield helped her team to another win against UT Tyler, and contributed eight points, eight rebounds and four assists. She averages 9.1 points per game (.547 FG), 3.9 rebounds and 21.8 minutes per game.
