NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Another addition to SFA's 2019-20 beach volleyball roster was announced by head coach Alex Luna Wednesday afternoon as Maren Wisener inked her NLI to join the Ladyjacks for their inaugural season of the sport.
The second incoming freshman to join up with the Ladyjacks, Wisener hails from Flower Mound, Texas, and enjoyed a fine varsity indoor career while putting together a strong showing on the beach volleyball scene at the club level.

Prepped by head coach Danielle Barker at Marcus High School, Wisener claimed numerous All-District citations through her three seasons of varsity play of indoor volleyball. After securing Honorable Mention All-District honors as a sophomore, Wisener was a Second Team All-District choice during her junior and senior seasons as a setter for the Marauders.
In addition to helping her team to a third-place district finish as a senior, Wisener enjoyed a great club career on the beach volleyball scene as a prep. Her club team, Beach 10 Thousand, finished as the BVCA national runner up on one occasion during her time on the squad.
In 2017, she helped her beach club team claim a ninth-place finish at the AAU national championship, a fifth-place finish at the BVCA national championship and a third-place finish at the ROX national championship. Those finishes came one year after her squad posted a third-place finish at the AAU national championship.
Luna on Wisener | "Maren was a highly recruited athlete who, through our good fortune, fell into our lap. During our first phone call we were practically finishing each other's sentences and I had to have her out to campus literally the next day. Never was there a more natural fit for player, coach and institution. Coming from a volleyball family, she brings a polished style of play to SFA and experience both with and against high level players. She will make a phenomenal addition to our group this fall and I can't wait to see how she moves the needle forward in the skill level of our inaugural class."
