
Imani Johnson Named to Southland All-Academic First Team

Southland Conference All-Academic Team release
FRISCO, Texas -- Senior Imani Johnson has been named to the 2018-19 Southland Conference All-Academic First Team, per a release from the conference office on Thursday afternoon. The Lee's Summit, Missouri native was an automatic selection due to her appointment to the All-Conference First Team and her academic merits, and is joined by four other student athletes from around the conference on the First Team.
Johnson was a constant for the Ladyjacks, starting all 32 games and averaging 12.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. She helped the Ladyjacks to a third-straight 25-win season and a 16-2 mark in Southland Conference play. Her play resulted in a selection to the All-Conference First Team along with teammate Chanell Hayes, having been an Honorable Mention a season ago. Johnson's qualifications for the All-Academic Team include a 3.36 GPA as a Management major.
