SFA fans everywhere encouraged to wear purple

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The 2018-19 SFA athletics season is almost two weeks old and with the Lumberjack football team scheduled to take the field Saturday night in Starkville, Miss., for its 2018 season opener against Mississippi State SFA fans around the globe are encouraged to wear their best purple and white SFA gear on Friday, August 31 as part of College Colors Day.
SFA fans in Nacogdoches, in Texas, around the nation and around the world are encouraged to show off their pride and passion for the university by breaking out their best SFA gear and sharing photos and videos on social media along with the hashtag #CollegeColorsDay.
From now through Sunday, September 2, fans who participate in College Colors Day can access the movement's website to enter for a chance to win a variety of prizes such as gift cards, coolers, institutional athletics apparel as well as two tickets and a trip to the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship in Santa Clara, Calif., on January 7, 2019.
Thanks to the support of its fans, SFA has become the premier athletics program in the Southland Conference and is well on its way to becoming one of the nation's most recognizable mid-major athletic programs. Friday's College Colors Day is a perfect time for Lumberjack and Ladyjack fans to share in the excitement of the 2018-19 athletics season by wearing purple and white in the office, at school, at home and around town.
