
SFA Athletics to Debut Behind The Axe Feature Series

Year-long series will focus on SFA student-athletes and their endeavors outside of competition
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Throughout the 2018-19 academic year, SFA Athletics is set to debut a series entitled Behind The Axe which details the various contributions SFA student-athletes make to society while away from the classroom and their respective competition venues. SuddenLink will sponsor the year-long series.
While the stories SFA's student-athletes create for themselves and their teams in the realm of college athletics are often times impressive, often times the stories about how these individuals positively impact the lives of other in their community, nation and world go seemingly unnoticed.
Beginning this week and continuing every other week throughout the year, stories of various SFA student-athletes that shift the focus from their accomplishments on the playing surface to their efforts and passions outside of intercollegiate athletic competition will be featured on SFAJacks.com and on all of SFA Athletics' social media platforms. This week's story will focus on junior Ann Hollas, a setter on SFA's volleyball team who spent a month in Kenya this past summer providing assistance at a children's hospital.
