SFA's National Girls & Women in Sports Day Event Set for Saturday

Event will be held in Shelton Gym from 12-2 p.m. and is free to all girls ages 6-12
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Saturday afternoon from noon until 2:00 p.m. inside Shelton Gym on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University, all girls ages 6-12 are invited to join members of SFA's Student Athlete Advisory Committee and take part National Girls & Women in Sports Day.
Saturday's event marks the 32nd anniversary of National Girls & Women in Sports Day, a national observance celebrating the extraordinary achievements of women and girls in sports.
In addition to enjoying an afternoon trying new sports alongside members of the Lumberjacks' and Ladyjacks' various teams, all attendees will receive free backpacks that include free tickets to SFA's basketball games Saturday against Lamar inside William R. Johnson Coliseum. The Ladyjacks tip off against the Cardinals at 3:30 p.m. while the Lumberjacks begin at 6:00 p.m.
