
Twelve SFA Student-Athletes Collect Degrees at December 2018 Commencement Ceremony

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - SFA's alumni base numbers at over 110,000 individuals and that total grew larger Saturday when the institution held its winter commencement exercises inside William R. Johnson Coliseum.
The most recent crop of SFA graduates who received their degrees included 12 former Lumberjack and Ladyjack student-athletes as well as one athletic training student. Individuals from five of SFA's 17 NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic teams were represented at Saturday's commencement ceremony.
Football had the highest number of former student-athletes walk across the stage to accept degrees (five) while men's track & field came in second in terms of total former student-athletes (three).
Two members of SFA's bowling team as well as one former Lumberjack baseball player and one former Ladyjack softball players collected bachelor's degrees at the ceremony, too.
